How to Relieve Back Pain?

“The century disease, Back pain!’“

BACK PAIN OFTEN STEMS FROM A LACK OF MOVEMENT AND STRENGTH

Back pain is a widespread issue that can be caused by a variety of factors, including stress, lack of movement, improper lifting, and overuse of a body part. Urban lifestyles and sedentary work can also contribute to back pain. Stress is a significant external factor that can negatively impact both the physical and mental aspects of the body, leading to postural dysfunction and decreased muscle tone.

The spine is divided into five sections: cervical spine, thoracic spine, lumbar spine, sacrum, and coccyx bones. However, the most commonly affected areas are the upper back (cervical spine), which can lead to neck and shoulder stiffness, headaches, and forward head posture; the middle back (thoracic spine), which can lead to limited range of movement, breathing restriction, and stiffness; and the lower back (lumbar spine), which can lead to sciatica, stiffness, limited range of movement, and pain irradiation.

During the pandemic, back problems have emerged and with doctors or physicians overwhelmed by the impact of the pandemic on the healthcare system, back pain was not a priority to treat.

A study shows that 85%-95% of people suffering from back issues are not pathology-related, which means it can be solved with a holistic approach.

The best remedy for back pain is movement, strengthening, stretching and meditation. Movement increases blood flow and oxygen to the affected area, helping to reduce pain and improve muscle tone. Stretching and meditation can also help reduce stress and tension, which can contribute to back pain. Additionally, massage therapy can also be beneficial for back pain, as it can help to release tension in the muscles and promote healing.

It is important to note that if you suffer from a long-standing condition, disability, or any other external factors that may have a direct impact on back pain, it is crucial to consult your doctor or physician. This post is relevant for common back pain that can be resolved with movement. If you are experiencing chronic pain or pain accompanied by other symptoms such as numbness, tingling, or weakness, it is important to seek medical advice.
